Get to know Kris…

Kris' journey and love of fitness started back at the age of 10 when he was told to run around the schoolyard during gym class. He took off running and didn’t want to stop. It instilled in him a sense of confidence, joy, and accomplishment that is still with him today. This led to his becoming a competitive track and cross country runner, as well as a California state qualifying wrestler as a high school senior. As an adult, he is a marathon runner with 15 marathons in 14 states under his belt and counting.

Combining his love of fitness and a calling to help others, Kris decided to become a National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) certified personal trainer. He started working in a local boutique gym where he learned to guide groups in fitness classes, but quickly learned the gym atmosphere wasn’t for him and he preferred working individually with clients, developing customized workout plans that incorporate their fitness goals, interests, and injury histories. So Kris left the gym behind and started Frost Fitness to allow him to do the work he wanted in the way he believed in doing it. To that end, he also got certified as a Weck Method RMT Club Instructor and completed the Weck Method Running Clinic. In addition, he completed the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Training, Levels I and II.

Since then, whether it's working with a 23-year-old to get and stay strong while combating an injury, a middle-aged couple with varying fitness levels, or a 92-year-old man to maintain his balance and mobility, Kris is honored to be a part of his clients’ journeys and is grateful he gets to do the work he loves each day.
